Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to your Olymedic account. Follow these steps to enable, manage, or disable 2FA on your account.
Enabling 2FA
Access 2FA Settings:
Navigate to Account Settings > Login & Security.
Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
Enable 2FA:
Click Enable.
A QR code will appear along with a setup key.
Scan QR Code:
Open an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator) on your mobile device.
Scan the QR code or manually enter the setup key displayed on the screen.
Enter OTP Code:
The app will generate a One-Time Password (OTP).
Enter the OTP code into the OTP Code field on the screen.
Click Confirm.
Managing 2FA
Show Recovery Codes:
After enabling 2FA, recovery codes are generated. These codes can be used to regain access to your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Click Show Recovery Codes to view them.
Copy or download the codes and store them securely.
Regenerate Recovery Codes:
If needed, click Regenerate Codes to create new recovery codes.
Disabling 2FA
Navigate to the Login & Security section.
Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Disable.
Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the action.
Additional Notes
Security Reminder:Keep recovery codes in a safe location.If you lose your authenticator device and recovery codes, you may need to contact Olymedic support to regain access.
Password Confirmation:Certain actions, such as disabling 2FA or regenerating codes, may require you to confirm your account password for security reasons.
